FIVE VIEWS OF SWANAGE. This image shows five views of the West Country Class, Light Pacific locomotive, No. 34105, Swanage. She was built at Brighton Locomotive works in 1950 and left service in 1964 having covered 623,405 miles. At present she is undergoing restoration at the locomotive works of the Mid-Hants, Watercress line at Ropley. The Locomotive is shown without any of the outer sheeting or the cab or smokebox. The frame was modelled directly from the original engineering drawings and includes every cross-member that was used. The rather garrish colouring was chosen so that different elements would contrast with each other and so make the detail easier to see. The component images have all been anti-aliased.
